Switzerland is part of the Schengen area, so a Swiss-issued Schengen visa lets you visit 29 European countries. Apply through the Swiss embassy’s visa centre if Switzerland is your main destination or the country where you spend the most nights.
How long does it take?
Appointments in peak season (April–June) can be three to five weeks out. Apply no earlier than six months and no later than 15 days before travel — we recommend 60 days.
