The Ultimate 5-Day Dubai Itinerary for Families
Theme parks, desert dunes and the world’s tallest building — a kid-tested five-day Dubai plan with realistic timings and rest breaks.
Dubai is built for family holidays: short flights from India, vegetarian food everywhere and attractions designed for every age. The trick is pacing — the heat and the scale of the city can tire little travellers quickly.
Day 1: Arrive and Dubai Mall
Check in, rest, and head to Dubai Mall in the evening for the aquarium tunnel and the Dubai Fountain show, which runs every 30 minutes after 6pm.
Day 2: City highlights and At the Top
Do the Dubai Frame and Jumeirah Beach in the morning, nap after lunch, and book a 5pm slot at Burj Khalifa to see the city by daylight and at night.
Day 3: Desert safari
Keep the morning free. Safaris pick you up around 3pm; choose a “family” option with gentle dune driving if your children are under eight.
Day 4: Theme park day
- Under 10: Legoland Dubai
- Tweens and teens: IMG Worlds of Adventure or Motiongate
- Water lovers: Aquaventure at Atlantis
Day 5: Souks and departure
Take an abra across the creek to the gold and spice souks — a 1-dirham ride children love.
Travel between November and March for pleasant 25°C days; in summer, plan outdoor time before 10am.
